The March 2012 National Geographic has an article on "erratics" or large glacial rocks. It explains how the glaciers transported them to places they ordinarily would not be. The most famous of them in this country would likely be Plymouth Rock, but there are many others that have been named. It shows a map of what most of us recognize as the glaciated areas of the lower 48 and Alaska. The map also shows something I didn't expect, glacial erratics in Hawaii.
