I know a guy selling tons of obsidian.
He lives and found huge sheets of it in Northern Ky but doesn't know about the origin of it.
Send me a message if you want to purchase some as he has tons of it.

What part of northern Ky. is he finding it? I have an idea of its origin but need more info.

Supposedly it's in Campbell county. He said its littered all over the ground and some is buried.
He said there is a few large sheets of it.
He won't tell me where EXACTLY but I don't expect him to.
He doesn't know about its origin but I suspect Mabe native Americans?
He also is finding some sparkly grayish rocks but not in the same location. I've looked at them and they appear to be "welded ashflow tuffs" but again 100% guess. There's quite a bit if it as well. If you google "sparkly rock" it comes up as one of the pictures as a triangular piece.
That's about all I know but I can ask him for more info.
Anyone that can shed some info as to possible origin or any other info would be great.

My thinking is it is from the old iron furnaces from the turn of the 20th century. I know of a place in southern Ohio that has that kind of material laying along the road. It looks a lot like chunks of glass but is the results from making iron.

I would look around and see if there are any remnents of one of these old furnaces. Most likely that is the source.
