August 26th Outing at The Worth Every Penny Claim

#1 Post by MAIL MAN »

It has been a couple of years since we've had an outing at the Newark Claim and after speaking to some members I found that there was some interest in a one day outing. Many of the new members probably have not been there and are not familiar with all that this claim has to offer. Weather permitting I will be at the Worth Every Penny Claim on Saturday the 26th, thats the day before the next meeting. Several members are already planning on being there and anyone who would like join us will be more than welcome. Please make a post below if this sounds like fun and you are planning on attending.

Mudpatty and I are looking forward to it. We love looking for glass and buying dredges.

Flag football schedule just came out, first game is August 26th, dang it, hoped it wouldn't start until after Labor Day. Most likely not going to make it.

Drove over today to get an idea what it looks like. We may have to cut down some weeds to get to the river. Also checked the area that Sonny and I camped at, it's grown up but could be accessible with 4x4.

I added an album to the gallery for pictures of the outing.

Other than the gold I saw this was the coolest thing found at the outing.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Wish I had found one.
