SOLD #3 - 3 pocket knives

#1 Post by Patrick »

Before bidding please refer to the complete auction rules found in this board. For your convenience here are some important highlights of the rules:

* In case if a tie at the end of the auction the first of the tied bids will be given precedence.
* All bids will be in whole dollar amounts
* Shipping will be available at actual cost and must be paid with the winning bid before shipping (or items can always be delivered at our meetings).
* Bids made after the posted closing time(s) will be refused so bid early!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

For your consideration is a lot of 3 used slipblade folding pocket knives, all in good used condition. I will do my best to describe the items.

Referring to the picture below:

*The lower right knife is a 2 blade Barlow with a plastic handle. This knife was made by Imperial in the USA.
*The upper right knife is a 3 blade Old Timer with a composite handle. This knife was made by Schrade in the USA
*The remaining knife is very interesting. It is a multi-tool of unknown origin. The only mark I find is "inox" which is the designation for stainless steel. Being stainless this knife cannot be older than 1921 when the metal was first created and used for knives. The handle appears to be wood but may be a composite and it could be a reproduction (I'm no knife expert). I do know it could use a good cleaning and oiling as the slip mechanism which holds the blade is sticking open but will engage if push it in.
-There is also a corkscrew hidden behind the awl not easily seen in the picture

This auction will open with the first bid and will close Mar. 14 at 9:00 pm eastern time. (remember to reset your clocks ahead 1 hour on the 13th to daylight savings time) Good luck to all bidders!

The "active topic" link is one I cannot control the setting. If any active topics are in a locked board parented to a board with locked topics, they will come up locked if you open them with that link. If you view the auction items on any unlocked board you should be able to bid. Short of not making the auction posts as "global announcements" the only way to relive this problem is to only have the auction posts on a single unlocked board with all the topics in that board also being unlocked. Thanks for pointing out this issue.
