Rule On Campfires

As a new rule on the claims you can have no open pit camp fires, camp fires can be made only in the rock fire pits all ready made no new fire pits can be made, there is a rock fire pit at the Norris claim and the Double D claim this is the only place you can have a fire, use only these rock fire pits for safety please!

Another claim rule is no digging within 30 feet from any bridge or No Prospecting within 30 feet of Bridge.

The OSPA has Acquired property called the Double D Claim. This has been described by many as "The Hottest place for Gold anywhere in the State".  The claim is open year round but is subject to flooding so please be careful and keep an eye out during times of heavy rain.

The entrance is in front of the house in the first and second picture, the pictures are in the forum too. Plenty of room to pull in with larger motor homes or trailers. Lots of space to camp with a huge community fire ring and horseshoe pit. There is a water meter close to entrance that will be marked to prevent any traffic crossing over the top. Also the septic will be marked to keep large vehicles off. It is a short piece of creek that can be prospected on both sides. Property lines will also be marked and we want to keep a distance away from the bridge pilings.

We discussed the claim rules and here is an overview. These are the claim rules not the club rules. The club rules still apply to all members and guest too which you can find on the membership page

1. The entrance is in front of the house in pictures below, the pictures are in the forum too, use only this entrance. Plenty of room to pull in with larger motor homes or trailers.

2. Dont drive over the septic tank and septic lines.

3. Watch out for the water meter beside the driveway.

4. No discharging of firearms or unnecessary loud activity.

5. 6. Dogs MUST be leashed and under control at all times. We cannot have an incident concerning one of our dogs.

7. If you bring a guest to the claim, it is your responsibility to see that they also strictly follow these rules.

8. ABSOLUTELY NO DIGGING IN THE BANKS.

9. Another claim rule is no digging within 30 feet from any bridge or No Prospecting within 30 feet of Bridge.

If we follow these few rules, we should have no issues with the owner when it comes to renewing our lease next year.

Direction To The Norris Claim!

If you are going East on Route 36 through Mount Vernon Turn right on 308 Turn left on New Gambier Rd. Turn right on Monroe Mills Rd. Go across the bicycle trail Claim is on the left. There is a OSPA sign at the drive way.

If you are going West on Route 36 Turn left on OH 229 Turn right on Killduff rd. Turn left on Zion rd. Turn right on Monroe Mills Rd. Claim is on right Monroe Mills Rd. 10444

As mark has already announced, the new claim lease is signed and we will begin using the property.

2. Stay out of the corn fields.

3. No driving beyond the gathering area.

4. No camping in the gathering area, there is plenty of other camping room and this is our main access point to the river.

7. If you insist on using the property during rainy weather, please help maintain the pathway by parking near the road and hiking in. This is at least until we get the new gravel placed in the couple of places in the road that tend to get soggy. We need to keep in out traffic to a minimum until we see how the road will hold up.
